Emergency Fund |
|
| This fund and activity is a very important
mission of our church. Through the Emergency Fund St. Andrew is
able to help many with prescription drugs and other
emergencies that may become people. The money is raised through
donations from our members, special offerings, the Harvest Table (where our members grow
their gardens and donate their bounty to our church for sale), the
Christmas Post Office, and bake sales throughout the year.
In 2004 the Emergency Fund provided rent assistance for 29 families,
utility assistance for 9 families, medication for 15 people, as well as
providing fans for family services to distribute during hot weather.
Our emergency fund often combines efforts with Christian
Ministries, the Salvation Army, Better Way and Family Services. |
