History of Saint Andrew
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church is located at 2700 West Moore Road -
west of Wheeling, north of Riggin Road, and east of Everett Road.
We began our life as a congregation in January, 1963 with 30
members. We chose the name St. Andrew for our new church to
commemorate Andrew who, when mentioned in the Bible, was the disciple
leading people to Christ.
Our worship services were originally held in a garage, then in the
auditorium of Northview Elementary School and, finally in our present
building, which we occupied in 1964. We have grown but try to retain that "close-knit" feeling of the small group
that met in the garage.
