Cub Scouts
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church is the Charter Organization (Sponsor)
of Cub Scout
Pack 11, one of the most active Packs in the Golden Eagle
District.
The Pack meets the 4th Monday of the month from September to May,
from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
The Cubmaster is Wes Dennis, who has lead the pack for over 5 years.
The Pack helps young men ages 7 - 11 grow and learn in a variety of
ways. The Pack sponsors cake bakes, a Pinewood Derby, the Raingutter
Regatta, hikes in Clifton Gorge (Ohio), has the youth design the art for
the Pack Meeting agenda cover (and back), plus much, much more.
Boy Scouts
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church is the Charter Organization (Sponsor) of
Boy
Scout Troop 22, known as the Outdoors Troop.
The Church and Troop have worked together for many years, with the
church generously allowing the Troop to have their own meeting rooms in
the lower level of the church.
The Troop helps the Church on work days, cleaning inside and out. There
are also adults in the troop who help the church with various repair
projects in and around the church.
The Troop has had 2 Eagle projects that have benefited the Church: The
Children's playground and the fenced enclosure that holds both Troop 22
and Pack 11's trailers and recycling projects. |
Eagle Scout Project
– Nick Spotts of Boy Scout Troop #22 is
working on his Eagle Scout Award by collecting classroom supplies for the
benefit of the “Back to School Teacher’s Store.” Items being collected are:
old textbooks, cardboard, poster board, art supplies, math posters, etc. These
supplies will be used by teachers in Delaware County. So don’t throw them away;
please bring them to the church and place in the box provided in the narthex.
Thank you!
